Automatic testing the editor functionality?

Anyone having experience in automated testing the editor functionality in whatever version of Episerver with tools like Imacros or Selenium?

I tried recording with Imacros for example to create a new standard webpage with automatic screendumps in the process but did'nt manage to replay it because of the dynamic aspects of the element id's.
