Assets folders same for blocks and media

Is there any way to have separate blocks and media folders?

For the moment they both share the same folders, but in my project this is not desierable.

Not that I know of. I would like this possibility myself and I think it's something that will be supported in a future release. I do in fact know that EPiServer has received some feedback on this topic.
