Delete files not linked to any pages

Hi,

I'm using EpiServer CMS 6 R2 and trying to delete files that are not connected to any pages. I did the following steps to delete files

  • created a page and ID : 2094
  • uploaded a file into page folder and linked this file to the page :2094
  • Deleted the page from the page tree and from the recycle bin
  • Clicked "Delete unused files" in episerver admin, it didn't show that folder in that listing. I'm just wondering this file could be in ? and why it is not showing in the list as it is not linked to any page ?

could you please help me in understanding this option "Delete unused files" ?

Hi Suresh,

The "Delete unused files" function in Admin Mode of CMS 6 R2 only delete unlinked page folders which have the last written time more than 30 days ago. If you create a page, upload a file and then delete the page, the job will not delete the page's folder immediately.
