EntryUpdated event running twice

We have made a custom ICatalogEventListener.

When i debug i can see that the EntryUpdated is run twice when i update an entry.

It also does this when EntryUpdated is empty (meaing doing nothing that can change entries and then cause another EntryUpdated event).

Does anyone else experience this and/or does anyone have an explanation for this?
