Problems displaying text in tables

Hi,

1)A table with 1 row, 2 columns is created (50% left,50% right) 2)text is placed on left column and image on right Text takes up the whole line instead and overflows to rest of the page ( > 530px)

Pleasesuggest me where did i went wrong.
