Server.Transfer to friendlyURL

I'm using CMS4 and am trying to do a server.transfer to a page using it's friendly url. I need to do server.transfer not a response.redirect because i want to keep the form data.

Currently i get an error: "Error executing child request for....."

Is there a work around? Either by getting the transfer to work for a friendly URL, or by converting the friendly url into a regular one?
