Placeholders in Optimizely Forms templates

Hi,

We are a bit confused. The forum thread EPiServer.Forms 5.5.0 placeholder breaking changes | Optimizely D (and the referenced release note) talkes about a breaking change in EPiServer.Forms 5.5.0, basically stating that existing placeholders like #summary# must be changed to ::summary:: (there is even a SQL update script provided, albeit far from bulletproof as it does not handle the fact that # characters might be included in a template without being part of a placeholder). However, one of my collegues performed some tests and it seems like both formats are working, i.e. both existing forms with templates using #summary# placeholders and new forms with templates using ::summary:: seem to work. Does this mean that no database update is needed?
