EPiServer 7: incorrect size on dialog overlays opened from the Tools menu

We have problems with the display of the dialog overlays used for Dynamic properties and Language settings, that are opened from the Tools menu when editing a page in EPiServer 7.0.
The Language settings overlay for example, gets a fixed width of about 300px instead of 600px, which makes it impossible to read and use the settings (content is displayed as if the width was 600px, but it's not possible to scroll horizontally). The height of the dialog is set correctly though.
Any tips on why this occurs? It does not seem to be browser dependent since we have reproduced the issue in both Chrome, FF and IE.
