We're in the process of upgrading an existing v11 installation to v12 and, previously, we were using the MvcAreasForEPiServer package (https://github.com/valdisiljuconoks/MvcAreasForEPiServer) to easily add areas support. Is there an alternate, baked-in approach to supporting Areas within v12? I can't find anything in the docs that talks about it.

Package upgrade hasn't been prioritized enough (due to lack of requests). But I can revisit it and see how complex it is to continue to support CMS12 as well (there are some breaking changes in .NET routing that will affect the effort required to upgrade the package).
