I am currently evaluating using Find (my preference) for a commerce customer.
One of the things they would be looking for is management of search results.
They would like to do this in two flavours:
For manual rankings they want to specify the products to display for the first n number of result - i.e. they select the first 20 products to display in order.
The remainder of the products would be displayed in relevance order.
My guess is that this could be done through Best bets; however how would the backend system cope if there were thousands of best bets? My concern is either the UI would break with too many best bets or Find could potentially get into a performance penalty? Has anyone tried something along these lines before?
