Edit mode not loading

I have a working episerver site set up on my machine, however when a colleague checks out the source and tries to access edit mode, there is no page found.

the site works fine and the episerver content is loaded. We have checked file paths in the episerverframework.config and they all exists.

He has managed to get a demo site set up and can get into edit mode on that.

What other environmental issues could stop the edit mode working and where else can we check? the code is exactly the same.

Check if your colleague is missing the "modulesbin" folder (along with its content). It should be in your web site's root folder.
