Virtual roles in Composer 4

Is there a way to assign access rights to composer functions for a virtual role ?

If I assign access rights to a virtual role (using EPiServer.Security.MappedRole), the composer function is not visible to a user in this virtual role.

Only access rights for "real" roles/groups seem to work with Composer 4.
